$=\left[1\mathit{–}0.3575\right]\times 100$
$=0.6425\times 100$
= $64.25\%$
Effective discount for a% and b% discounts = (a + b – ab/100)
∴ Effective discount for 35% and 45% discounts = $35+45\mathit{–}\frac{1575}{100}=64.25\%$
