The length of a rectangular is three times more than its width. If the perimeter is 80 metre, how much is the length?

Solution:

Suppose, width of the rectangle = x
and length of the rectangle = 3x

2(3x+x)=80

⇒4x=40

∴x=40/4=10

i.e., length = 3 × 10 = 30 m.
