In alphabetic method, students are taught the name of the letters and then by joining different letters to pronounce words. The correct procedure for alphabetic method is letters, words, phrases and sentences because letters are the smallest entity of English language followed by words which are composed of a collection of letters. Several words together form a phrase, and finally several phrases together form a sentence.
