Preciseness in answering mathematics problems is not the criteria to assess the primary level student as he is learning the concept and will only respond in the expressive way. Short tricks or methods can only be adopted or learned if basic concepts are clear. Primary school stage is the stepping stone towards the concept learning where the concepts are taught in the long method to make a child understand it well.
