(a) EVS curriculum at primary stage has been developed to include Pure Science as well as Social Science concepts. This has been done primarily to enable a learner look at environment in a holistic manner. A holistic educations seeks to educate the whole person. Key factors are- (1) Children need to learn about themselves (2) Learning about relationship with others (3) Children need to learn about resilience. This entails overcoming difficulties, facing challenges and learning low to ensure long term success. (4) Children need to learn about aesthetics.
