Nepenthes khasiana is endemic to Meghalaya in India and it is considered as an endangered plant in the wild.
It is one of the Carnivorous plants (also known as insectivorous plant), which derive some or most of their nutrients from trapping and consuming insects. It grows in the soil which is poor in nutrients, especially nitrogen. It is popularly known as Pitcher plant.
