Newspapers, magazines, books, etc are all powerfull and endless sources of information that can be easily compared to a library or an encyclopedia, primarily because they give to the reader the opportunity to extend knowledge about the real world. They also facilitate self-education. In EVS classroom through newspaper and magazines, students are aware of different information about the world and their surroundings.
