If a, b and c are respectively the number of faces, edges and vertices of a pentagonal pyramid, then the value of

({a+b+c}/2)^2 -2

Solution:

For pentagonal Pyramid
(a) Number of faces = 5
(b) Number of edges = 8
(c) Number of vertices = 5
Now, put the value of a, b, and c

(\;\;{a-b+c}/{2})^{2}-2=(\;\;{5-8+5}/{2})^{2}-2

=(\;\;{2}/{2})^{2}-2=1-2=-1
