Solution:

a=√{(2013)^{2}+2013+2014}

it can be written as

=√{(2013)^{2}+2013+2013+1}

=√{(2013)^{2}+2×1213+(1)^{2}}

=√{(2013+1)^{2}}

∴a=2014
