The number of vertices in a polyhedron which has 30 edges and 12 faces is

Solution:

According to Euler's polyhedron formula
V – E + F = 2
where V = number of vertices, E = number of edges, F = number of faces.
From question,

E=30,F=12

V–E+F=2

V–30+12=2

∴V=2+30–12=32–12=20
