Solution:

3(7 x+4)=-4 x-8

⇒ 21 x+12=-4 x-8

⇒ 21 x+4 x=-8-12

⇒ 25 x=-20

⇒ x=-20 \/ 25

⇒ x=-4 \/ 5

According to the question:

\;{5 x+8}/{3}

⇒ \;{(5 × {-4}/{5})+8}/{3}

⇒ \;{-4+8}/{3}

∴ \;{4}/{3}
