Stokes lines are the radiation of certain wavelengths present in the line spectra, that is associated with the phenomena of fluorescence and the Raman effect.Anti-stokes lines are produced due to already excited atoms or molecules. These lines are symmetrical about the main lines and the wavelength of anti-stokes lines is less than the main line. So, if the difference between wavelengths of stokes line and corresponding anti-stokes line is 100Å, then the difference between anti-stokes line and main line is 50Å. Therefore, wavelength of incident radiation is 5050Å.
