. The average salary of all the employees is ₹ 48000. There are 80 boys in the company and the average salary of the girl is

₹ 40000

. What is the number of girls working in the company?

Solution:

Let the number of girls working in the company be

x

According to the question,

40000 ×x+50000 ×80=48000 ×(80+x)

⇒

40000 ×x+4000000=3840000+48000 x

⇒

48000 x-40000 x=4000000-3840000

⇒

8000 x=160000

⇒

x={160000}/{8000}=20

∴ There are 20 girls in the company.
