Mahadev Desai translated the book 'The Story of My Experiements with Truth' written by M. K Gandhi from Gujarati to English. Mahadev Desai is best remembered as Mahatma Gandhi's personal secretary but he was an outstanding writer too as he wrote several biographies such as Antyoj Sadhu Nand, Sant Francis, Vir Vallabhai, Be Khudai Khidmatgar, etc J. B Kripalani, well known educationist, environmentalist and other social movement leader often known as Acharya Kripalani, formed the Kisan Mazdoor Praja Party. Vinoba Bhave started the Bhoodan Movement in 1951. She was chosen by Gandhi as the first individual Satyagrahi in 1940 . Mohanlal Pandya was a freedom fighter of India, social reformer and one of the earliest followers of Mahatma Gandhi. Mohanlal Pandya was nicknamed as Dungli Chor as he harvested onions from the land alloted to British government.
