Given,

x : y = 2 : 3

⇒

{x}/{y}= {2}/{3}

∴

(3 x+2 y):(2 x+5 y)= {3 x+2 y}/{2 x+5 y}

= { {3 x+2 y}/{y}}/{ {2 x+5 y}/{y}}= {3 {x}/{y}+2}/{2 {x}/{y}+5}

= {3×{2}/{3}+2}/{2×{2}/{3}+5}= {2+2}/{ {4}/{3}+5}

= {4}/{ {4+15}/{3}}

= {4 × 3}/{19}= {12}/{19}
