The monthly income of Amit and Bharat are in the ratio of 5 : 4, their monthly expenses are in the ratio of 19 : 21, and their monthly saving are in the ratio of 37 : 18. If the total annual saving of Bharat and Amit is ₹ 132000. Amit’s monthly income is

Validate

Solution:

Ratio of monthly savings of Amit and Bharat= 37 : 18
Total monthly savings =

{132000}/{12}

= 11000
⇒ 37x + 18x = 11000
⇒ 55x = 11000
⇒ x = 200
⇒ Savings of Amit 37 x 200 = ₹ 7400
and savings of Bharat 18 x 200 = ₹ 3600
Now, According to the question,

{5y - 7400}/ {4y - 3600}

{19}/{21}

⇒ 105y - 155400 = 76y - 68400
⇒ 29y = 87000
⇒ y = 3000
∴ Amit monthly salary (income) is
= 5 x y = 5 x 3000 = ₹ 15000
