Validate

Solution:

(d) Let AB be the length of pole.
In ∆ABC, tan45° =

{AB}/{BC}

⇒ 1 =

30/{BC}

∴ BC = 30

Again , in ∆ABD ,
tan 30° =

{AB}/{BD}

⇒

1/√3 = 30/{BD}

∴ BD =

30√3

Required difference = BD - BC
= (30

√3

- 30) m = 2196 m
