Solution:

5/13

∴ cos A =

√{l - sin^2 A}

√{1 - 5^2/13^2}

√{{169-25}/169} = √{144/169} = 12/13

∴ tan A =

{\sin A}/{\cos A} = 5/13 ×13/12 = 5/12

and sec A =

1/{\cosA} = 1/{12/13} = 13/12

∴ tan A + sec A =

5/12 + 13/12 = 18/12

= 1.5
