For all four terms $\left(\mathit{x}+5\right),\left(\mathit{x}-3\right),\left(\mathit{x}-9\right),\left(\mathit{x}+2\right)$ will be negative. Hence, the overall expression will be positive. Similarly, when $\mathit{x}>9$, all four terms will be positive.
When x belongs to $\left(-2,3\right)$, two terms are negative and two are positive. Hence, the overall expression is positive again.
We are left with the range $\left(-5,-2\right)$ and $\left(3,9\right)$ where the expression will be negative.
