Krebs' cycle is a part of aerobic cellular respiration. It was discovered by Hans Kreb in 1938 in flight muscles of cranes. Cis aconitic acid is 6−C compound, where is malic and succinic acid are 4−C compound. α-keto glutaric acid is the only 5−C compound formed in Krebs' cycle.
