(b) Retrovirus have RNA as genetic material. It infects animal cells and replicates by first being converted to double stranded DNA, with the enzyme reverse transcriptase. Retroviruses are enveloped viruses. The HIV III (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), which causes AIDS, is a retrovirus.
