Solar energy is converted into ATP in chloroplast. The process of using sunlight to make glucose, carbon dioxide and water is called photosynthesis. Glucose is further anaerobically metabolised into pyruvate. Pyruvate is further converted into ATP, in either of two ways i.e. presence and absence of oxygen.
