From the question,

{A}(x_{1}, y_{1})=(1,6)

{B}(x_{2}, y_{2})=(3,0)

{C}(x_{3}, y_{3})=(-3,-7)

∴

\;{1}/{2}[x_{1}(y_{2}-y_{3})+x_{2}(y_{3}-y_{1})+x_{3}(y-y_{2})]

=\;{1}/{2}[1(0+7)+3(-7-6)+(-3)(6-0)]

=\;{1}/{2}[-50]=\;{1}/{2} ×{|-50|}

∴ \;{50}/{2}=25
