Solution:

Mass of the automatic vehicle, m= 2000 kg
Final velocity, v = 0 $ms^{-1}$
Acceleration of the automobile, a = -1.2 $ms^{-2}$
From Newton's second law of motion,
Force = Mass x Acceleration
F = 2000 x (-1.2) = -2400 N
Hence, the force between the vehicle and road is -2400 N, in the opposite direction to the motion of the vehicle.
