Solution:

Given, marked price

= ₹5000

and selling price

= ₹4400

Discount

=5000-4400= ₹600

∴

Discount percentage

=\;{\;\text " Discount "\;}/{\;\text " Marked Price "\;} × 100 \%

=\;{600}/{5000} × 100=12 \%
