A dice is thrown twice. What is the probability of getting a sum 7 form both the throws?

Solution:

Total number of condition after throwing a dice two times

=6 × 6=36

Total number of favourable condition of getting a sum 7 from both the throws

=(1,6),(2,5),(3,4),(4,3),(5,

2),(6,1)=6

∵

Probability

=\;{\;\text " Favourable condition "\;}/{\;\text " Total condition "\;}

∴

Required probability

=\;{6}/{36}=\;{1}/{6}
