Article 17 of the constitution of India deals with the Provision relating to Abolition of Untouchability. It falls under part III of the constitution of India where every citizens are guaranteed with the fundamentals rights. According to this article the untouchability was abolished and its practice in any form is forbidden. The enforcement of any disability arising out of untouchability shall be an offence punishable in accordance with law.
