The average speed

=400/8=50

Let the speed of the onward journey and return journey of the bus be
5a kmph and 4a kmph respectively.

50={2 × 5 a × 4 a}/{5 a+4 a} ⇒ a={450}/{40}

=5×45/4

=56{1/4}
