\{{(ab)^{1/4}-b^{1/2}}/{a^{1/2}-(ab)^{1/4}}\}^{-4}=\{{b^{1/4}(a^{1/4}-b^{1/4})}/{a^{1/4}(a^{1/4}-b^{1/4})}\}^{-4}

=\{({b}/{a})^{1/4}\}^{-4}=({b}/{a})^{-1}={a}/{b}
