Given : $\mathit{x}+\mathit{y}+\mathit{z}=3$ ...(i)
$2\mathit{x}+2\mathit{y}\mathit{–}\mathit{z}=3$...(ii)
$\mathit{x}+\mathit{y}\mathit{–}\mathit{z}=1$...(iii)
(i) + (ii) gives;
$3\left(\mathit{x}+\mathit{y}\right)=6\Rightarrow \mathit{x}+\mathit{y}=2$  ...(iv)(ii) – (iii) gives,
$\mathit{x}+\mathit{y}=2$ ...(v)
Since (iv) and (v) are same, the 3 given equations are not independent.
Hence, in such cases we have infinite number of solutions.
