Solution:

20 min

=1/3

hr.
∴ 8 hr 20 min

=8+1/3=25/3

hr
Angle moved by hour-hand

=360°/12×25/3

=250°

Angle moved by minute-hand in 20 minutes

=360°/60°×20

=120°

∴ Angle between the two hands

=250°-120°

=130°

Aliter :
Using direct formula

θ={|{11}/{2}m-30|}=|({11}/{2}×20)-(30×8)|

=|110-240|=130°
