Arithmetic mean,

\ov{x}={15+17+20+23+25}/5

=100/5=20

Mean deviation

=1/n∑|x_i-\ov{x}|

=1/5[|15–20|+|17–20|+|20–20|+|23–20|+|25–20|]

={5+3+0+3+5}/5=16/5=3.2
