CMC is defined as concentration of surfactants above which micelles form and all additional surfactants added to the system will form micelles.
Concentration of surfactant is nearly 10−4 to 10−3‌mol‌L−1 at CMC. CMC depends on temperature, pressure and concentration of other surface, active substances and electrolytes.
