The functional groups which contains double bond in its structure and C-atom, which is bonded with the ring has more electronegative oxygen atom bonded with it is meta directing product.
In structure,There is no double bond and O-atom, which bonded with the ring has less electronegative C-atom bonded with it. Therefore, it does not give meta directing product.
