Fare of train = Rs. 8/km
Fare of bus = Rs. 10/km
Total fare = Rs. 700
Calculation:
Let the distance travelled by bus be x km
⇒ Distance traveled by train = (80 - x) km
According to the question:
10x+(80−x)8=700
⇒ 10x+640−8x=700
⇒ 2x=60
⇒ x=30
∴ Distance traveled by bus = 30 km
