INS Viraat was a Centaur-class aircraft carrier of theIndian Navy. The last British-built ship serving withthe Indian Navy, the ship was the oldest aircraft carrierin service in the world. The ship was completed andcommissioned in 1959 as the Royal Navy's HMSHermes. Viraat was formally decommissioned on 6March 2017.
