Given that, milk and water are in ratio 5:2 in 56 litres of the mixture.
7 units =56 Litres
1 unit =8 litres
∴ In that 56 litres of the mixture, milk will be 40 litres and water will be 16 litres
Now, according to the question
Some amount of milk is added to that mixture so that the ratio of milk and water becomes 7:2
Let x litres of milk be added in that mixture
‌(40+x)∕16=7∕2
‌x=16‌ litre ‌
∴ Quantity of milk in new mixture will be 40+16=56 litres
