Samudragupta, the second emperor of the Gupta dynasty, is known to one of India’s best rulers. His brilliant leadership and valiant victories earned him the title of ‘Napoleon of India’. He was a great musician and played the vina, an Indian stringed instrument resembling the lyre or lute, with great aplomb. He was also a highly intellectual person and an accomplished poet.
