The playing field is 300 yards (274 metres) long by 160yards (146 metres) wide, the approximate area of nineAmerican football fields. The playing field is carefullymaintained with closely mowed turf providing a safe,fast playing surface. Goals are posts which are set eightyards apart, centred at each end of the field.
