Take

g=10 {\m} \/ {\ s}^2

Solution:

∵ \; {\U}+ {\K}=\;\text " Constant "\;

∴ \; {\U}_1+ {\K}_1= {\U}_2+ {\K}_2

⇒ 500+0=0+ {\K}_2

( {\U}_2=0, \;\text " as h "\;=0

for the body just ( before hitting the ground)

∴ \; {\K}_2=500 {\J}
