Solution:

At STP, 1 mole of any gas occupies

22.4 l

. So, at STP, 500 mole of

{\CO}_2

will occupy the same space as that of hydrogen.

\;\text " Molar mass of "\; {\CO}_2\;=12+32=44 {\g}

∴ 500 \;\text " moles of "\; {\CO}_2\;=500 × 44

\;=22000 {\g}

Thus, the cylinder can hold

22 {\kg} {\CO}_2
