Compare the compounds carbon tetrachloride and sodium chloride with regard to solubility in water and electrical conductivity.
Solution:
Carbon tetrachloride is insoluble in water and behave as a bad conductor of electricity while sodium chloride is soluble in water and behave as a good conductor of electricity in their aqueous state.
