The Lorentz force can be determined by the formula,
$\mathit{F}=\mathit{q}\left(\mathit{v}\times \mathit{B}\right)$
where $\mathit{q}$ is the charge, $\mathit{v}$ is the velocity and B is the magnetic field density. Lorentz force is Perpendicular to both magnetic field and velocity. The right-hand thumb rule is applicable in determining the Lorentz force.
