Write the value of ∫ sec x (secx + tanx)dx
Solution:
∫ secx (secx + tanx) dx
= ∫ ( x + secx tanx dx
= 2 ∫ x dx + ∫ secx tanx dx
= tan x + sec x + c, where c is a constant
= ∫ ( x + secx tanx dx
= 2 ∫ x dx + ∫ secx tanx dx
= tan x + sec x + c, where c is a constant
