What is the difference between amylase and amylopectin?

Solution:
Amylose is a long unbranced chain of -D-glucose units held by glycosidic linkage whereas amylopectin is a branched chain polymer of -Dglucose units, units in which chain is formed by glycosidic linkage while branching occurs by glycosidic linkage.
