Write two differences between an ideal solution and a non-ideal solution.
Solution:
   Ideal solution  Non-ideal solution
 Raoult's Law  Solutions which obey Raoult's law over the entire range of concentrations.  Do not obey Raoult's law over the entire range of concentrations.
 Î”mix H  The enthalpy of mixing of the pure components to form a solution is zero.Δmix H=0  The enthalpy of mixing of pure components to form a solution is not zero. Δmix H>0
 Î”mix V  The volume of the mixing is also zero, Δmix V=0.
That means the total volume of the solution is equal to the sum of the volume of the two components.
