Solution:

In parallel,

\;\;{1}/{ {\R}^{'}}=\;{1}/{4}+\;{1}/{4}

\; {\R}^{'}=\;{4}/{2}=2 Ω

In series,

{\R}\;= {\R}^{'}+ {\R}^{' '}

2 Ω+6 Ω\;=8 Ω
