In the given circuit determine the value of :
(i) total resistance of the circuit
(ii) current flowing through the ammeter.

Solution:

(i) Total series resistance

=10 {\ohm}+50 {\ohm}=

60 {\ohm}

\;{1}/{\;\text " Total resistance "\;}=\;{1}/{30}+\;{1}/{60}=\;{3}/{60}

Total resistance

=\;{60}/{3} {\ohm}=20 {\ohm}

(ii) Current,

\;\; {\I}=\;{ {\V}}/{ {\R}}=\;{6}/{20}=0.3 {\A}
