The molecular formula of two carbon compound are

which one of the two is most likely to show addition reaction ? Justify your answer. Also give the chemical equation to explain the process of addition reaction in case.

: Butene - alkene( unsaturated hydrocarbon)
(ii)

\C_3\H_8

: propane - alkane (saturated hydrocarbon)

\C_4\H_8

i.e., butene shows addition reaction as it is unsaturated hydrocarbon
