The Directorate of Government Examinations or the Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education is the main education Board in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (BSEAP), which is also known as the AP SSC Board conducts the Class 10 board exams in the state. And the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) conducts the Andhra Intermediate or Class 12 exams. In addition to this, the AP Board is also responsible for prescribing the syllabus, curriculum and textbooks for Class 1 to Class 12 students in the state. Another important function of the AP Board is to evaluate the Class 10 and Class 12 Board exam and announce the results.
The Board of Secondary Education Andhra Pradesh (BSEAP) or the Directorate of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh conducts the annual exam for AP Board Class 10 in the month of March/April. The Board also conducts the Advanced Supplementary Examination for repeaters or students who failed the exams in May/June.
Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) conducts Class 11 examination of Andhra Pradesh Board every year in the month of March. Over 2,431 colleges in Andhra Pradesh are affiliated to BIEAP for General courses; while 506 colleges across the state are affiliated to the board for Vocational courses.
